Biography
Cole George
An avid chamber player, Cole has played in groups of all sizes, from oboe,
bassoon, and piano trio to large wind ensembles. His woodwind quintet, Antlia Winds, engaged with the musical community of Rochester by giving regular concerts and
offering instruction to local high school students. He regularly contributes his enthusiasm to the many ensembles of Juilliard and has played extensively with the Eastman
Philharmonic, Wind Ensemble, and Opera. Cole can be heard on Eastman Wind
Ensemble’s recording of Jeff Tyzik’s Symphonies and Concerto for Jazz Saxophone and Wind Ensemble. He had the honor of performing Tchaikovsky’s “Sleeping Beauty” and “Swan Lake” with The State Ballet Theatre of Ukraine during their annual Florida
residency. During the summer Cole has furthered his education at Music Academy of the West, Hidden Valley Festival of Winds, Sarasota Music
Festival, and the Eastern Music Festival.
Cole is currently a Master’s degree student at The Juilliard School studying with Kim
Laskowski, and he earned his Bachelor’s degree from The Eastman School of Music under George Sakakeeny.
